As the Founding Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of building and shaping the AI technology that powers this transformation at Arva.
About the Role
As our Founding Engineer, you will:
Take ownership of Arva AI’s technical vision and build scalable, efficient, and secure systems.
Work directly with the founders to shape the product roadmap and ensure it aligns with business goals.
Be hands-on in building and iterating our AI tooling, from backend infrastructure to user-facing features.
Set the foundation for a strong engineering team and culture.
What You’ll Do
Design and Build: Architect, develop, and deploy Arva AI's core platform and AI systems.
Innovate: Explore and implement solutions to complex compliance and AI challenges.
Lead: Serve as a technical leader and mentor as the engineering team grows.
Collaborate: Work closely with the product and design teams to ensure seamless user experiences.
Iterate: Constantly iterate on our product based on customer feedback and analytics. Use technologies such as prompt optimisation and backtesting to continuously improve our AI systems and prevent regressions.

What We’re Looking For
Experience: 4+ years in software development, ideally in startups or fast-paced environments.
Technical Skills: We’re looking for a confident generalist. You should be able to pick up tasks in our front-end (NextJS), backend (NodeJS), extensive use of AI/ML features, API, infra, devops or CI and figure out a solution. Ability to learn quickly on the fly is essential.
Product Mindset: A strong understanding of how technology solves customer problems, with product sense. Ability to communicate with customers, understand their needs, and translate them into elegant solutions that benefit all of our customers.
Ownership: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to take complete ownership of projects, and never settle.
Growth-Oriented: Excited to wear multiple hats, learn new skills, and adapt as the company scales.
Confidence using AI tooling: We are an AI company and we use the latest in AI tools to enhance our productivity. You should be on the lookout for new developments and not afraid to try them in your workflows.
